About Us

You’ve got this!

And we’ll be right beside you the whole way.

If you’re feeling a little anxious about your child’s development, we want you to know you’re not alone. Even as pediatric specialists, we wonder sometimes if we’re “doing enough” with our kids.

And let’s be honest: Social media isn’t helping any of us feel more confident in our parenting, is it? It’s so easy to get caught in the comparison trap. If someone else’s child crawls before ours… or jumps rope before ours… or writes their name before ours… or whatever before ours… we feel like we need to do more.

So can we take some pressure off?

First of all, child development isn’t a race. When we say most kids do this thing by this age, that doesn’t mean your child is “behind” if they don’t.

If you notice your child is struggling with several milestones, or if you just have a parental hunch that something’s off, check with your pediatrician. But even then, kids often get back on track with easy adjustments to their environment or routine.

Second, there’s actually very little you need to do to support your child’s development. In fact, often we just need to get out of our kid’s way and allow them the freedom to explore their environment.

That doesn’t mean you have to be (or should be) totally hands-off. It’s just there are plenty of simple ways to help your child meet their milestones—with not much time and zero expense.

And finally, you don’t have to figure this out on your own! Over several years of working together and talking through our own parenting challenges, we came to recognize that when adults collaborate, kids win.

That’s why we created Tots on Target: to bridge the gap between parents and pediatric professionals. What began as an online forum is growing into a whole suite of classes and resources focused on one thing: Supporting every child’s development.

We’d be so honored to come alongside you and your child, too.
